A campanile with 51 bells

0
To the south of the large forecourt of the Saint Theresa of the Child Jesus basilica stands a campanile 147 ft (45 m) high. It was meant to be 295 ft (90 m) high, but the donations were used for a sick people's residence. Inaugurated in 1975, the campanile recalls the monuments to the glory of the WWI soldiers and houses the 51 bells of the carillon. The largest, known as Theresa, protector of the people, weighs nearly 9 tons. The campanile is expected to rise by 114 ft (35 m) in 2025, thanks to the donation of a single sponsor.
