The south facade of Lascaris castle in Gorbio in the Alpes-Maritimes department displays a sundial. It dates back to 1860, the year of the referendum by which the inhabitants of the village chose their attachment to France rather than to the Kingdom of Sardinia. Located near Place Honoré Vial, this afternoon declining sundial is engraved and painted on plaster.
