Frank Gehry, winner of the 1989 Pritzker Prize (the Nobel Prize for architecture), is considered one of the most important deconstructivist architects. The Louis Vuitton Foundation was another challenge for the project staff. From the outset, the architects and engineers had to familiarise themselves with the 3D software Digital Project, developed by Gehry Technologies from the aeronautical software Catia from Dassault Systèmes. To model the extraordinary building, the engineers spent almost 1.5 million hours studying.
