Henri Deneux rebuilt Reims Cathedral's framework, destroyed by German bombings in 1914, following an idea from the 16th century he adapted. He designed the new structure in numerous small and easily transportable parts made in concrete and screwed together. It took Deneux's workshops two years to build the framework and reassemble the 18,000 pieces puzzle under the cathedral's roof.
