The Marais-Vernier originated from a former meander of the Seine. This natural site located in the heart of the Bends of the Norman Seine Regional Nature Park is unique in France. The Marais-Vernier, first abandoned several thousand years ago, is nowadays a vast amphitheater-shaped wetland whose rich ecosystem can be observed from a panoramic tower. During walks, visitors can meet Scottish cows and Camargue horses, along with migratory birds, swans, and numerous other species.
