Two peaks neighboring the Escreins massif
0
0
The two peaks of the Font Sancte - the north peak culminating at 11,105 ft (3,385 m) and the south peak at 11,059 ft (3,371 m) - extend on the edge of Queyras Regional Nature Park. The summits are located at the southern end of the north-west/south-west chain that limits the Escreins massif on the eastern side and ends at the top of the Saume on the northern side. The higher of the two, the north peak, marks the point of convergence of three jagged rocky ridges. Its northern slope falls on the depression of Lake Saint-Anne in high ravine escarpments.
