Two days of saponification

At Domaine d’Esthine, the cold saponification phase in the moulds lasts 48 hours followed by a drying cure for 6 weeks. Once almost all the fatty substances have been saponified, the soaps are ready to be removed from the moulds. They make sure that some of the oils used are not fully transformed into soap, in order to benefit from their moisturising, emollient, and soothing properties. Rich in vitamins and micronutrients, donkey’s milk is a natural skin tightenor. Its softening and restructuring properties act effectively on weakened skins.
