The locality of Le Lavandou on the Var coastline has the particularity of having twelve beaches covered with twelve sands of different grain sizes and colors: Anglade, Grande Plage, Saint-Clair, La Fossette, Aiguebelle, Jean Blanc, Elephant, Rossignol, Le Layet, Cavalière, Cap Nègre, and Pramousquier. Most of them benefit from the Blue Flag label that guarantees the good quality of their water (sanitation, pollution) and the preservation of their environment (waste management, awareness of the natural environment) despite their significant summer attendance.
