One of the two methods of turning wood is turning between centers. The piece of wood to be worked is positioned there between the fixed headstock of the lathe - located on the side of its motor - and its mobile headstock which forms a tailstock. With this process, the wood is machined in the direction of its fibers, parallel to the axis of rotation.
