Tufs waterfall through the seasons
0
0
The Tufs waterfall of Planches-près-Arbois in Jura is fed by the Cuisance, which springs in the heart of the blind valleys of Arbois and Les Planches and reappears through numerous cavities carved into the tuff, a limestone sedimentary rock at the origin of its name. Its multiple resurgences cause several cascades which fall into natural pools visible at the end of a hiking trail and a landscaped footbridge. Accessible on foot all year round, the waterfall is fueled in the event of heavy rains and in spring when the snow melts ; it is frozen by frost in winter.
