True donkey’s milk soaps

At Domaine d’Esthine, Brigitte Pieau puts the same passion into raising her Cotentin donkeys as she does into making her soaps. They are made from the pure milk of her donkeys, which are milked only once a day so as to leave milk for the foals. The cold saponification method used in her workshop dates back to the dawn of time. Her soaps contain 40% of donkey's milk relative to the weight of the vegetable oils. Soap production is therefore dependent on the amount of milk harvested, a choice which Brigitte Pieau takes full responsibility as she priorities the quality of her products.
