The typical Norman cow is quite tall (around 4.72 ft / 1.44 m at the withers) and displays three kinds of coats: brindle, slightly spotted or quail dress, or blonde. The animal's belly and triangular head are always white, and its protruding eyes are surrounded by a brown or black spot that makes its long white eyelashes stand out. The Norman cow has a large, colorful, and slightly upturned muzzle.
