Three basins for a port

The port of Honfleur is divided into three basins. Inaugurated in 1690, the Vieux Bassin can accommodate up to 80 boats, including 30 places for visitors. It is mostly used by fishermen and boaters. Dug in 1848, at the same time as the railway station, the Bassin de l'Est was reserved for cargo ships. It is now intended for river cruise ships. More remote, the Bassin Carnot is located near the shipyards and is mostly dedicated to repairs.
