Transformed into a pleasure boat in the 1950s

A former German patrol boat (Kriegsfischkutter) built in 1947, the Don du Vent was transformed into a pleasure sailboat at the end of the 1950s. Moored in Cannes in the 1960s and 1970s, she hosted numerous personalities during the film festival before being bought by Philippe and Margo Derain and joining Marseille, where she was restored for 13 years. All her superstructures (deck, planks, rigging, interior fittings) have been recreated in the style of the original KFK. Today, the Don du Vent belongs to the painter Fanny Moreaux and her companion, the skipper Benoit Bouchet, and features a large slatted deck in Oregon pine and a spacious saloon with mahogany woodwork.
