Train cubs in hunting

In cheetahs, births can occur all year round. After a three months gestation, the female gives birth to 3 to 5 cubs. At birth, like all small felines, the cubs are blind. The spots of their coat are fuzzy and they have a thick, clear mane along the back of the loin which camouflages them in tall grass and protects them from cold.
The cubs follow their mother from 6 weeks old. Weaned between 3 and 6 months, they learn hunting with their mother. The female first brings back preys, sometimes still alive, to her cubs and learn them to bite on the neck. From 10 months old, they are able to catch small preys.
