Alsace's culinary tradition
0
0
Though part of France, Alsace is the cradle of a piece of shared history with neighboring Germany. Over time, bakers, pastry chefs, restaurateurs such as Eric Westermann, and households have created dishes that are now part of the culture and heritage of not one but two countries. As much consisting of meat than pastry, Alsatian cuisine, steeped in Germanic culinary traditions, is rich in local specialties. Today, Alsace is considered one of the most gourmet regions in France.
