Tourism development of Serre-Ponçon lake

Since its creation in 1959, the artificial lake of Serre-Ponçon has become an important tourist site for the economy of the region. Hotel structures, holiday centers, campsites, port facilities and nautical bases have been set up in the various surrounding municipalities. A real small inland sea, the lake also has nine supervised public beaches spread along its 56 miles (91km) of shores.
