En el municipio de Orlando, en la zona urbana de Soweto, dentro de la ciudad de Johannesburgo, en Sudáfrica, se encuentran dos torres de refrigeración pertenecientes a la antigua central eléctrica de Orlando. Visibles desde muy lejos, estas particulares torres gemelas de 100 metros de altura han sido un icono de Soweto durante los últimos setenta y tres años.
Después de que la central eléctrica de Orlando fuese desmantelada en 1998, las dos torres de refrigeración antiestéticas quedaron sin uso durante 10 años.
Las torres son actualmente utilizadas para los deportes extremos como el puenting, rappel, tirolina, péndulo oscilante… Aquí, los visitantes también pueden jugar al paintball y hacer escalada.
