Topographic jump of the Tufs waterfall

The Tufs waterfall of Planches-près-Arbois in Jura is located about 656 feet (200 meters) downstream from the source of the Cuisance. The stream flows over a topographic jump through a waterfall which deposits large quantities of travertine. Upstream and downstream from the waterfall, the bed of the Cuisance is cluttered with travertine dams which retain gours (geologically formed water basins).
