Located 3km in front of the Mont-Saint-Michel, it can be reached at low tide. On its eastern part, the peak of La Folie reaches 45 meters. Between the 11th and the 14th century, one could not go on pilgrimage to the Mont-Saint-Michel without passing by Tombelaine, where there was a priory and even a street with stores. Its varied ecosystem allows seabirds to live and especially to nest in spring.
