The toe're is a traditional percussion instrument from Polynesia. It consists of a dugslotted piece of rosewood or mahogany slotted in its length. The good sound of the instrument is related to how it is dug. The wood must dry and rest for several months before being worked. The traditional making of a toe're requires a week.
