Located in the Mediterranean Sea, Corsica is bathed to the north by the Ligurian Sea and to the east by the Tyrrhenian Sea. The Tyrrhenian Sea is limited to the west by Corsica and Sardinia, to the east by the Italian peninsula and to the south by Sicily. The Ligurian Sea, which bathes the coast of Liguria in Italy and extends to the north-west of the Tyrrhenian Sea, is also part of the Mediterranean Sea.
