The Thio River, whose delta plain opens onto the east coast of Grande-Terre north of the Southern province, does not have the characteristics of a river with a high sedimentary activity. One can however observe many fixed bars, very vegetated, on its course and in its delta which could correspond to an engravement related to mining contributions.
