The wealth of the Haut-Jura is undoubtedly the wood, the production is well and highly established. In the Vilac workshops, the woodpiles are made up of different sections of wood of different sizes. The species used are Beech (Fagus sylvatica) or Hornbeam (Carpinus). These are hardwoods that are dense and weakly composed of knots.
