The wines of Engelberg
1
0
The noble wines of the village of Dahlenheim, at the gates of Strasbourg, have been recognised since the 9th century, and the great medieval monastic tradition has never ceased to maintain the glory of this terroir. The most renowned of these, Engelberg wine, has been produced since the Middle Ages on the southern flank of the Angel Hill (“engel berg” in German). Located in the commune of Dahlenheim, Mélanie Pfister’s vineyard produces biodynamic gastronomic wines of the highest quality. Her Riesling Engelberg, classified as a Grand Cru in 1985, is particularly appreciated.
