The wine bottle’s shape
2
0
The 75cl capacity bottle existed as of the end of the 17th century. It has been widely distributed from the following century onwards, and it is massively used today. The wine bottle’s shape will vary across the regions of France. Indeed, whereas a Burgundy bottle is paunchy, tall, has a thin neck, and its widest part known as the barrel is slightly conical in shape, other bottles, like in Alsace, can be much more slender.
