The winding roads of the Haut-Jura
In the heart of winter, in the Haut-Jura, the trees are bare and the air is fresh. Only well-garnished spruces inhabit the mountain forests of the Jura. In France, there is only one species of spruce: the common spruce (Picea Abies). These trees have elastic and strong wood and are often used in carpentry, joinery, and in the paper industry. The wood is also used in artworks from the Jura region such as clocks or also for luthiers.
