The viewpoint of Anse Marigot

The viewpoint of Anse Marigot was built on the north Caribbean coast of Martinique after the village of Le Carbet in the direction of Bellefontaine. Visible from the road, this easily accessible promontory surrounded by bare vegetation seems to levitate above the sea. Panels explain the assets of the site from which visitors can see Saint Lucia, Mount Pelée, and, on a clear day, Morne Bigot. Below spreads the coastal slope of Fond Capot, while the coves and localities of Pointe de la Batterie, Anse Marigot, and Anse Pothiaut appear on the right. A plant heart decor has been created there to frame the photos of the visitors. Standing on legs, it is pierced with a wooden bench on which sightseers can also take a seat to admire the 360° landscape.
