The Verdon’s Grand Canyon is the narrow crack through which the Verdon escapes from the Prealps of Castellane, between the village of Rougon and Galetas Bridge which connects Moustiers-Sainte-Marie to Aiguines. Thirteen miles (21 km) long, the Verdon’ Grand Canyon forms a gorge of exceptional depth which is quite an unusual landform in the pre-Alpine landscapes of southern France.
