The Explorers
The Explorers
The Verdon flows mainly in the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence department, to which it serves as a border with the Var department on several sections of its course. Its confluence with the Durance is located in the Bouches-du-Rhône near Vinon-sur-Verdon. Its course punctuated by several hydroelectric dams is marked by the existence of narrow and deep gorges which have made its international reputation.
