The valuation of turned wooden objects
0
0
The valuation of hand-turned wooden objects - as here by Robert Marichy in Arinthod in the Jura department - is not easy. It may depend on criteria allowing a price definition related to the cost and the quantity of wood used ; the size, complexity, originality and finish of the object ; the time spent by the turner and his expertise… However, even reproduced in several copies, each object is made unique by the original aspect of the piece of wood used for its creation and the skill of the craftsman who designed it. It therefore becomes a work of art.
