In the heart of the historic centre of Grasse, narrow and shaded alleys run in between short buildings dating back to the 17th and 18th centuries. They coexist with villas and mansions built during the 19th century tourist boom. Modern housing later expanded to the neighbouring hamlets of Magagnosc, Plan or Plascassier, following the sharp demographic expansion of the city in the 20th century.
