There is that of wood turner - like here Robert Marichy - who shapes his pieces on a lathe but also that of ‘tabletier’, specialized in the manufacture of checkerboard or chessboard supports and pieces, or even that of ‘layetier’, who more specifically manufactures wooden chests and crates.
