The Tinée, which flows over 43 mi (70 km) in the Alpes-Maritimes department, is the main tributary of the Var river on its left bank. It itself has 48 referenced tributary sections. Among them, only eight tributaries (the Vionène, the Ardon, and the valleys of Mollières, Bramafam, Saint-Dalmas, Roya, Cramasouri, and Monar) are more than 6.2 mi (10 km) in length and precisely extend between 6.8 and 10.3 mi (11 and 16.7 km).
