With an area of 18,728 acres (7,579 ha), the municipality of Saint-Saturnin-lès-Apt ranks third among the most extensive in the Vaucluse department. It only comes behind Sault and its 27,182 acres (11,000 ha) and Bédoin, which extends over 22,487 acres (9,100 ha) at the foot of Mont Ventoux. Saint-Saturnin-lès-Apt is ahead of much more populated and renowned towns like Avignon, ranked 6th, which covers only 16,062 acres (6,500 ha) for 93,671 inhabitants against 2,844 for Saint-Saturnin-lès-Apt (2018).
