The successive owners of Rustrel castle
0
0
Built at the beginning of the 17th century at the request of the Dukes of Lévis Ventadour, the castle of Rustrel and its fiefdom were sold on January 23, 1627, to Charles d'Eyroux, a bourgeois from Simiane. A few months later, on May 21, 1627, he was dispossessed of his property for the benefit of the community of Apt, which sold the lands of Rustrel to three lords in 1643. The castle and its fiefdom remained in joint property until their confiscation during the French Revolution and their resale as national properties.
