In the Space Hall of the Musée de l’Air et de l’Espace (Air and Space Museum) at Le Bourget, the sky is but the limit. In a building with a 15-metre ceiling, visitors are immersed in a blue decor amidst satellites, spacecraft and rockets. Whether life-size models or real machines, they all trace the history of the conquest of space to the present day. The subdued lighting helps to create a space atmosphere inside the hall. On the outside tarmac, two models of the Ariane programme bear witness to the French and European presence in space.
