The son of a furniture designer

The Villa Majorelle was erected between 1901 and 1902 on the edge of Nancy. The 4,305 sq ft (400 m²) family house stands in the heart of a 2,471 acres park (1 ha). It adjoins Louis Majorelle's furniture manufacturing workshops. His future clients could therefore witness the models' crafting in situ. Louis Majorelle was the son of a furniture designer and hence learned the base of his craft at an early age.
