The Auvergne Volcanoes Regional Nature Park offers skiers a total of 99.4 miles (160 km) of slopes spread over four resorts and served by 57 ski lifts. The Grand Sancy skiing area is formed by the junction of the resorts of the two slopes of Puy de Sancy. It includes 33 ski lifts and extends over 52.2 miles (84 km), 26.7 miles for Super Besse (43 km), and 25.5 miles for Mont-Dore (41 km). The Grand Sancy's maximum elevation gain is 2,132 ft (650 m). The other resort in the Sancy massif, Chastreix-Puy de Sancy, offers almost 10 miles of slopes (16 km) and a 1,246 ft elevation gain (380 m).
