The ski resort of La Joue du Loup is linked to that of Superdévoluy, with which it forms a single alpine skiing area extending over 4,940 acres (2,000 ha) in the Dévoluy massif. Its highest point standing 8,202 ft (2,500 m) above sea level, it offers skiers a maximum vertical drop of 3,280 ft (1,000 m). Its 56 lifts open onto 62 miles (100 km) of pistes, 23 miles (37 km) of which can, if necessary, be artificially snow-covered.
