The architecture of Mont-Saint-Michel Abbey bears witness to the mastery and craftsmanship of several generations of builders. For a thousand years, ever more beautiful and audacious constructions followed one another to form a unique architectural ensemble. Mont-Saint-Michel and its bay are the most visited tourist sites in Normandy and the second most visited in France. The abbey alone has seen an increase of more than 6% in the number of visitors, numbering up to 1,4 million in 2019.
