Cabernet Sauvignon is a red grape variety renowned for both its area of vines (second most planted grape variety in the world) and its quality and aromatic richness. This late-ripening variety adapts very well to hot and sandy-gravelly soils. Cabernet Sauvignon stocks produce small berries with a thick skin that protects them from spring frosts and pre-harvest rotting.
