The white rhino is the second largest African terrestrial mammal, after the elephant. It can weigh about 2,500 kg for a male, and 1,600 kg for a female, and may be taller than 6 ft (1,80 m) at withers. Today, more than 95% of white rhinos spread over South Africa, Namibia, Kenya, and Zimbabwe. Facing poaching, populations are dramatically decreasing.
