The seawater pools of Donville-les-Bains

0
It is possible to swim in Donville-les-Bains even when the sea has receded. Two constantly renewed sea pools were indeed built in 1967 by Auguste Gaugain, entrepreneur and great connoisseur of Normandy's history. From the beach, the two 88 ft (27 m) long pools (9 and 2.05 ft / 2.8 and 0.9 m deep) offer an open view of Pointe du Lude. Platforms allow diving, and an access ramp leads to the pools from the beach.
