The seawall of Nice's port
0
0
Completed in 1752 at the same time as the digging of the first basin on the Lympia site, the seawall of Nice's port is the structure that has evolved the most over time. It was initially built by convicts from the stones of the demolished fortress of Castle Hill, in the Old Nice. The seawall was later lined with an interior jetty, enlarged several times, and subjected to numerous natural and administrative hazards.
