The 'Dole, heart of the city' program led by the Jura sub-prefecture has enabled the redevelopment of the historic city center, notably with the renovation of its streets and squares and the creation of new housing in the old buildings. The various phases of the works mainly focused on the area going from the Rue de la Sous-Préfecture to the bottom of the Grande Rue, passing through the pedestrian and circulating parts of the Rue de Besançon as well as the Places aux Fleurs and du 8 Mai.
