The quality of the work of Alain André, the manager of La Grange de la Haute Vallée in Cantal, has earned him several prizes. They rewarded both his Montbéliardes cows and his cheeses. The farm's Cantal Jeune (Young Cantal), Cantal Vieux (Old Cantal), and Salers have already obtained the coveted Gold Medal at the Concours Général Agricole (General Agricultural Contest) of the Salon de l'Agriculture. They also have been honored at the Rocamadour and Salers PDO cheese competitions.
