All the great French crystal makers sign their creations with a stamp, usually engraved on the bottom of the object. At Lalique, after this final stage, each piece is inspected one last time. Everything is checked: the engraving, the polishing, the edge finish, the weight, the stability. If there is the slightest imperfection, the object is broken and recycled, because there is no second choice. The quality criteria are such that Lalique crystal is one of the most expensive in the world. The factory exports 80% of its production, mainly to the Asian and American markets.
