Significant in-depth cultivation work is being carried out in the vineyards of the Château Malherbe wine estate for the plots' renovation, some of which date from 1942. The estate notably practices complantation, which consists in replacing a dead vine with a new plant without complete uprooting of the plot. It constitutes one of the strategic methods to renew the vineyard and fight the decline of the vines. By removing the dead vines that often carry the fungi responsible for various wood diseases, complantation also helps prevent their proliferation.
