The polishing of Laguiole knives
0
0
In the Laguiole forges, at the heart of the Aveyron department, the making of the famous knives is an art in itself. Craftsmen work all year round to shape the different models according to the rules defined by regional tradition. Each knife from the forges is polished on cotton or linen rubs with polishing paste. This process gives it its shine and reveals the quality of the materials of the handle while highlighting the metal parts of the knife. Two different types of finishes exist, gloss and satin.
